Just what’s this all about?

The idea for the Small Business Web began, like many things, with a friendly chat between like-minded folks. As the five founding companies readied themselves to head to SXSWi in Austin last year, they began talking about how similar their philosophies were with regard to customer service and making life easier for small business owners. Wouldn’t it be great, they thought, if they joined forces and took a stand for small business owners everywhere?

Thus, an alliance was formed, a manifesto was written, and the Small Business Web was born. With every additional company that joins the Small Business Web, the dream of the original founders expands: one small step for the Internet, one giant step for small businesses.

The Small Business Web Directory was designed, built and run by the folks at BatchBlue Software. You’ll like them, they’re nice.
